Reviewing & Managing Your Rides
Roundtrip has two main dashboards for Dispatchers: the Community page, where you find and respond to available rides, and the Rides page, where you manage rides already assigned to your company. Both dashboards work the same way, this guide covers the shared controls first, then what's specific to each page.
Getting to Your Dashboards
- Community: log in to Roundtrip at app.rideroundtrip.com, then click the Community tab in the upper left corner.
- Rides: click the Rides tab in the upper left corner. This is also where you land by default when you log in.

Shared Controls (Both Pages)
Date range: click into the date field to open a calendar. Choose a preset range, or click a start and end date to pick your own.
Search: use the search bar at the top to find a specific ride by Ride ID or rider name.
Status badges: both pages show badges that indicate a ride's current status. See Understanding Ride Status Badges for the full list of what each one means.
Filtering: filters sit just below the date field and search bar.
Filter | What It Does |
Vehicle type | Show or hide rides by vehicle type (all shown by default) |
Requesting facility | Show or hide rides by the requesting organization (only shows organizations with rides currently visible to you) |
Status | Show or hide rides by current status (all shown by default) |
Will call | Show all rides, only will-call rides, or hide will-call rides |
Sorting: click any column header to sort. First click sorts descending, second click sorts ascending.
Customizing columns: click Edit Columns on the right side of the page to show or hide specific columns.
Viewing full details: click anywhere on a ride's row to open its full details page.
On the Community Page: Responding to Available Rides
If you have notifications enabled, you'll be alerted each time a new ride becomes available to your company.
Submitting an ETA or declining: open the ride's details page and use the Submit ETA or Decline Ride button in the upper right corner. See How to Submit ETAs & What Happens Next for the full walkthrough.
Declining a ride: click Decline Ride, choose a reason from the dropdown, add any additional context if needed, and click Decline Ride to confirm. Declined rides move to the Declined tab, where you can still access and respond to them later if they're still available.
Quick Actions: click the ⋮ next to any available ride to submit an ETA or decline without opening the full details page.
Even when using Quick Actions, always review the full ride details first — payer requirements, rider needs, and equipment requests aren't visible from the dashboard alone.
Bulk Actions: check the boxes next to multiple rides, then click Decline Rides to decline them all at once with a single reason.
On the Rides Page: Managing Assigned Rides
Once a ride is assigned to your company, it moves here from the Community page, and all Dispatchers at your company are notified (if enabled).
Fulfilling the ride: if your company is CAD-integrated, rides populate automatically. Otherwise, cross-reference rides in Roundtrip against your own schedule or CAD system.
Updating ride status: click the status badge on the ride's details page.
- In Progress: select this once transport begins, and indicate whether you're on time or running late.
- Completed: select this once the rider has been dropped off. This moves the ride to your Completed tab and notifies the ride booker.
Complete rides promptly. A ride left in a non-final status for 60 days is automatically canceled — see Why Is My Payment Missing? for how this affects payment.
Canceling a ride: only cancel if the transport is no longer needed at all. Click the status badge, select Canceled, and enter a reason. This notifies the ride booker and rider (if enabled).
Releasing a ride: if you still expect the rider to need transport but your company can no longer provide it, release the ride instead of canceling — this sends it back to the Community for another company to claim. Click Release Ride on the ride's details page, choose a reason, and confirm.
The Release option only appears before your submitted ETA has passed. If you need to release a ride after that, contact the ride booker directly — their contact info is under the "Requester" dropdown on the ride's details page.
Quick Actions: click the ⋮ next to an assigned ride to complete, release, or cancel it directly from the dashboard.
Bulk Actions: check multiple assigned rides, then click Release Rides or Complete Rides to update them all at once.
Viewing past rides: use the status tabs (Assigned, Completed, Canceled) near the top of the Rides page. You may need to adjust the date filter to see older rides.
