This article provides a detailed guide on how to map your company's Traumasoft integration with Roundtrip to ensure that calls are accurately populated.

The process will begin with a request to Roundtrip and to Traumasoft. Relevant contacts are as follows:

Once contracting is completed, Roundtrip and Traumasoft will complete the process of establishing connectivity between Roundtrip and your Traumasoft instance. At this point, the integration is technically usable; however, in order to for all of the required data elements on the Call Taking screen to be populated, there are configurations you will need to do inside Traumasoft.

As part of the implementation, we’ll need you to map call classes from Roundtrip values to the call classes that you have set up in the BD Config screen. When setting up the call type mappings in the BD Config screen, make sure to also set default LOS, Response Priority, and Transport Priority as appropriate.

The Roundtrip Traumasoft integration will attempt to match the pickup and dropoff locations to existing Traumasoft facilities. In order to guarantee a match, we strongly advise setting up facility mappings in the BD Config screen.

As part of the Roundtrip implementation with customer health systems, Roundtrip will pre-create locations to represent each door of the facility. In addition, we’ll create locations for common drop-off locations such as SNFs and nursing homes. If there are locations that are coming through unmapped, please reach out to the Roundtrip team, and we’ll work with our customer hospitals to create facility mappings.

Note: Even with the facilities pre-created, we are dependent on an end-user choosing that facility during the trip booking flow. As a result, match results may not be perfect.

In order for incoming Roundtrip calls to map to the correct Zone in Traumasoft, contact Traumasoft support to ensure that the setting to use zone geofences in the Roundtrip integration is turned on. Note that as a pre-requisite, geofences must be defined for your zones in Traumasoft configuration. For more information on zone geofences, please contact the support team at Traumasoft.
