How to Add, Edit, and Remove Dispatcher Users

Managing Dispatcher accounts within your company can involve various actions, depending on the specific changes required. Read on to learn how to add, edit, and remove Dispatchers with Roundtrip access for your company.

 

Importance of Adding Dispatcher Accounts

If your company has multiple Dispatchers, we strongly recommend that each user has their own individual Roundtrip account. This ensures that your company can utilize the Roundtrip portal both effectively and securely. Here are some ways that individual accounts can enhance your company’s overall experience with Roundtrip:

Optimized User Experience

Shared accounts limit the ability to personalize user settings and notification preferences, leading to a suboptimal experience. Additionally, multiple users accessing the same account can cause unexpected logouts, resulting in user frustration and incomplete tasks.

Improved Tracking and Reporting

Individual accounts make it easier to audit user activities, allowing for better accountability and reducing the likelihood of errors going unnoticed. When an account is shared by multiple users, it can be challenging to identify which individual acted on a ride or made an error.

With shared accounts, it’s difficult to restrict or revoke access for specific individuals without impacting others. This can lead to accidental or intentional misuse, which may go undetected. Individual accounts allow for more precise access control and overall improved security.

Relying on a single user with access can hinder efficiency and slow down task completion. By providing multiple users with Roundtrip access, you ensure that critical ride information isn’t confined to one individual, reducing the risk of disruptions or delays if that Dispatcher is unavailable. Additionally, training multiple users on the Roundtrip portal can eliminate bottlenecks, leading to more streamlined and efficient workflows.

Adding New Dispatchers

  1. At the top right corner of the Roundtrip Portal, you will see an icon with your initials. Click on this icon to expand a dropdown menu.
  1. Click on the option labeled “Invite Dispatcher” to add additional dispatcher profiles to your company’s Roundtrip account.

  1. On the “Invite Dispatcher” page, fill in the fields with the requested information for the new Dispatcher including their name, email address, and phone number.

  1. Once all fields are completed, click ‘Send Invite’. This will send a confirmation email to the Dispatcher to create a password and access the Roundtrip Portal on your company’s behalf.
 

Editing or Removing Existing Dispatchers

If you need to edit the account of an existing Dispatcher or if you need to remove a Dispatcher’s access entirely, please email our Transportation Team at transport@roundtriphealth.com with the following information:

  • Dispatcher’s Name
  • Dispatcher’s Email Address
  • Action that needs to be taken (account edit or removal)
 

Once your request is received, our Transportation Team will make the necessary updates and will confirm once the request has been processed.
